I check my blood pressure at least one a day, and sometimes more often; but it is important for me to monitor it because of the heart issues that I have. I also wear the Apple Watch and that is constantly checking my heart rate.
I have a wrist BP monitor and that is what I usually use. It can be charged with a USB port, so i do not have to worry about replacing batteries.
I also have one of the arm cuffs that my daughter gave me, and if I can’t get a good reading with the wrist monitor, then I check my BP with the arm cuff.
Apple has a heart study app, and all I have to do is be wearing the Apple Watch and it automatically enters the information into the study.
I am not sure if the watch picks up abnormal heartbeats or not, but I think that it might because that is one of the things they are looking at in the heart study.
