Do You Prefer Real or Artificial Greenery for Christmas?

I prefer the scent of a real tree and we used to put one up in South Florida because we had a 2-story ceiling. We tried it in Dallas and our young cat had a field day with the ornaments. We started to put up a small, artificial tree on a big table in the front window of our living room. Now, we don't bother anymore. We're usually out of town on Christmas so unpacking/packing the ornaments is too much of a hassle.

Heck, when I was a kid we had an aluminum tree with a multi-colored light wheel!

when I was a kid, my parents had little money despite both working.... and so we got very little and that included the cheapest sparsest artifical Chritmas tree you could buy... like this...with just a little bit of tinsel on it, and some coloured baubles..

over the years when she was growing up we've had bigger, bushier, higher, over-dressed trees... andd now we've gone full circle, and my daughter just has this... type of thing... mainly because she has dogs, and that little twiggy tree can be put up out of their way

I had a real tree for 85 years. We liked the Frasier Fir. I think it came from NC. This will be my third yeasr with an ar6tificial, prelit tree. It weighs practically nothing, looks pretty good, doesn't cost a fortune and I can handle it myself.. I miss all the extra greenery they would throw in when they trimmed the trunk. I no longer bother with most of the ornaments I once considered so important.
85 years...wow !!😲
