Do you remember Sweet Tomatoes

It was a casual, sit-down restaurant with a large salad bar full of fresh and tasty ingredients. They also served a variety of soups. We had one near our house when we lived in Florida and it was a great, no-fuss place to go to dinner when we wanted something healthy. They closed their restaurants during Covid, as did many buffet restaurants, and I see they will now be reopening quite a few of them.

Of course, they are less of a novelty for us these days because more and more restaurants are popping up that feature salads. We have Snappy Salads, Sweet & Green, Original ChopShop and Crisp & Green. All serve delicious salads. If we didn't eat salads for lunch 5 times a week we would be visiting them often.

I do remember Sweet Tomatoes. It was one of my favorite salad bars. I no longer live in the same area with the restaurant, but I carry many good memories of the place still.

The best "sweet tomatoes" I ever ate came from NJ_ the garden state- I grew them myself, but I never heard of this restaurant before.

As rural as my environment is, I am not too far from some good restaurants. We used to have a great Chinese restaurant 20 miles away but now I travel about 30 miles to a Fabulous Chinese restaurant.

I like NY tomatoes but they are not quite as good as NJ tomatoes, in my opinion. I freeze them raw for winter pasta meals.

Yes, I do remember it. We used to have one not too far from us, here in Central Florida.
When we lived in Fort Lauderdale, there was a small neighborhood restaurant that only served salads. I used to love going there.
Of course in Dallas, you are spoiled by having such a great selection of restaurants.
