Do you shop your freezer or pantry ?

I've been working my way through my freezer (in preparation to moving in 3 weeks) and have sadly found that a lot of the lower layers have expired. Makes it easier to get the food used up (I can see bare shelves in a few places!) but shockingly wasteful. I started stocking up a lot in the beginning of the pandemic and apparently I was just eating and replenishing the top layers without doing a rotation starting from oldest.
Don't be too hard on yourself @HoneyNut. I think many of us stocked up during the pandemic and now we have to decide what to do with all of it.

A bit OTT, but we have 4 freezers and 2 fridges. Until recently, we helped raise pigs and sheep which ended up (along with the occasional deer and various game birds) in our freezers. Then there are the vegetables that we grow and freeze, fish, chicken etc..

One small freezer and a fridge are in the kitchen. The others are in the outhouse / utility room. We usually don't use all the freezers at the same time.
