Do you take oil orally?

Looked up tips on how to prevent my mouth from getting dry and cruddy by morning.
One suggestion I saw was to take a dose of vegetable oil before going to bed.
Then I saw where people use oil for what is called oil pulling.
Seems like when using oil for pulling you leave an amount of oil in the mouth and maybe swish it around for a while and it is supposed to draw out bacteria.
I see a lot of claims for how good olive oil is supposed to be when a spoonful or two is taken in the morning.
Anybody into using oils like that?
What for and what kind of results do you get?
Looks like it is time for a good rinse with mouth wash and then maybe a spoon full of oil for the night!

Most people don't like this remedy but mouth taping works. Just a piece of medical tape. The sensitive brand. You don't cover your entire mouth. Just the middle so you can breath a bit through the sides if needed. The sensitive tape so it's not too strong. It will break the seal easier if needed.
Of course, if you can't breath out of your nose this won't work.
I've sworn by this for years. I never get dry mouth. My dental health is good. I sleep good and don't snore. Nose breathing is much better for you.

I haven't used oil, but I don't get dry mouth when sleeping very often. I have some mints by the bed for when that happens, and a glass of water - I choose one or the other. [Don't go back to sleep until the mint has completely dissolved.]

I try to avoid unnecessary calories.

I keep a glass of ice water handy, pretty much round the clock.

More and more when I encounter these ideas I think back to what my grandparents would have done.

I doubt that any of them ever tasted olive oil and would consider drinking oil a bit crazy unless it was a dose of cod liver oil which seemed to be one of the few universal tonics in their world.
😉🤭😂
