Do you think coffee is addictive?

You know they sell chocolate cover roasted coffee beans, not quite the same fix but does when you're desperate & will get you to nearest coffee kiosk. Always carry a spare 'dime' bag in the jockybox for emergencies.

For me coffee is addictive. I drink strong coffee all day long and cannot imagine life without it!

Coffee - the leaded version - in sufficient quantities is addictive for a 24 hour period. Can attest to that as several of us used to go in the 3 day apple cleansing diet. We drank a lot of coffee and without fail the first day resulted in the dreaded "thunder head". But, after the first day, the other 2 days were happily absent the caffeine withdrawal headache symptoms.

I think it’s mildly addictive.

I definitely need that first cup of coffee in the morning.

I always hated staying in hotels and motels that didn’t offer an in-room coffee maker. More than once I’ve found myself roaming the halls at 4:00 am in search of coffee.

The need was stronger when I smoked. For some reason, coffee and cigarettes are a perfect combination.

I could get along without coffee, but I would definitely feel the change for the first couple of weeks.
Your photo reminded me of a scene from almost any movie from the 30's 'til recently when smoking became less popular.

Here's what WebMD has to say:
This one has some truth to it, depending on what you mean by "addictive." Caffeine is a stimulant to the central nervous system, and regular use of caffeine does cause mild physical dependence. But caffeine doesn't threaten your physical, social, or economic health the way addictive drugs do
Back when I drank coffee heavily I would get some craving, plus a mild headache if I didn't get my daily fix.

DH used to drink a pot a day, so I decided to decaffeinate him. The first day he said the coffee was a little weak . So the next day I just added more coffee and asked him if it was strong enough, he allowed as how it was. After a few months I told him it was decaf, he had never noticed a difference. Then more recently he stopped drinking coffee at all till we got a Kurig now he has one cup a day.
