My sun flowers finally went to seed. I didn't want to pick them while they were so pretty in my garden. The seeds just seemed to fall out. I shook the flower over newspaper and wanted to dry them for the birds this winter when they really needed food. when I opened one of the seeds there wasn't anything inside. Maybe I waited to long. Do birds eat the hull as well as the little seed inside? I have done this before and never noticed this problem. Maybe the crazy weather we had this summer.
