Do You Use The Internet To Shop For Groceries?

Living in a very rural area, online shopping has come in real handy. We order most, but not all our groceries online. Still hit a store for fresh fruit, veggies, meat, milk, etc. We also use online ordering for all kinds of things. Tractor parts, a new above ground pool , tools, parts for the mower, car, 4 wheeler, motorcycle, you name it. Prudent careful shopping will almost always get free shipping included and that alone is worth the savings on gas and wear and tear on the car.
Another big plus is buying treats for the fur babies. We find specials online that are not available in the stores.
Oh yeah, if you use the online order and then chose to pickup at the store, be aware that the local sales tax will apply. For us, that's a tic over 10% where the delivered price has a generic sales tax of 4%. Something to consider.

I guess the day is coming when we will never have to leave home. Our smart phones are currently being connected to our health vital signs, groceries are delivered, banking is on line as is education. Soon we will be round balls of fat laying on our couches.:friendly_wink:

Not yet for myself but when my mother was alive I sometimes had hers delivered.

Groceries are the one category of shopping that I've always enjoyed. Online stores are great for specialty and ethnic items that local stores have at ridiculously high prices or don't carry at all.
