does any other shop owners have problems with etsy

wife just closed her shop on etsy because of bs
 

What kind of problems? I shop on Etsy and have a couple of friends who sell on Etsy. Maybe I could check with one of them and see if they are having similar problems.
 
Yes. My husband and I had a shop with over 300 sales and almost the same 5 star reviews , we packed it in due to some of the rules.

We used to ship our things out without insurance since it was much cheaper. Customers could pay for the insurance if they wanted but nobody ever did and we never had a problem with the postal service or dishonest customers. This gave us an advantage since shipping was so reasonable but there’s always that first dishonest customer and how Etsy chose to handle it was atrocious. We left and haven’t been back since. My husband might open up his own shop when he retires.

I do admit though that it was actually fun selling crafts that you actually make and have people from all over the world purchase them. It offers a sense of pride.
 
My daughter has an Etsy shop, selling home-made pet bandanas and accessories. She has purchased pierced earrings for me, and jewellery and others items for herself from several Etsy sites. So far, she is happy.
