Like Ruthanne I let mine fly about also. When mine gets tired he goes into his cage and sleeps for awhile. I had parakeets for years before graduating to Cockatiels. A few things I learned along the way. I use to put gravel in the bottom of the cage. Our vet told me they don't need it and he had many birds die because the sand got packed in their crop. Lettuce and to many greens will give the bird diarrhea.
You have to watch the female,if she is about to lay an egg she may get egg bound and will die if she can't lay the egg. This happened to mine and I had to take her to the vet. My keets have laid eggs but I was never lucky enough to have any hatch. For breeding, you need proper nesting material, and a nesting box. Probably some supplements to the diet as well. If they hatch the babies have certain requirements as well.
Most important is to pay attention to them and love them, they will return your care with hours of fun and friendship. Your cage is nice a roomy and in a nice spot near the window. Another word of caution,be careful of the windows if you let them fly. Just like outdoor birds they can fly right into it a break their necks. Also some like a bath. Watch out for drafts as well. I also give my bird liquid vitamin drops in the water which I change daily. Hopefully your birds will live a long life. My bird is 16 now.
