Does anyone remember milk chutes?🤔

I've never had raw milk. Or at least I don't think I have. I don't know what kind of 🥛 milk the milkman brought tho.
I don't know if there were rules and regulations. I vaguely recall being told that the milkman's milk was Pasteurized but not homogenized. Or maybe the other way around. I was little at the time.

Raw milk is supposed to be tuberculin tested, in that the cows are tested. I don't know if this is regulated or not.

It would have been Pasteurized, to kill bacteria in it. Homogenized is milk that has had the cream removed from it.

My first house had a milk box next to back door which was great for delivery but it was also great for thieves who could stretch an arm in and unlock the back door so we sealed it off.
Oh it was also great if you lost your keys which I did at one time. Neighbour did the break in for me:LOL::LOL:
