Does the Price of Gas Vary Much in Your Town/City?

We are in a remote location so although there is about 15 stations they have a union price, so the price varies from really over paying, the union price, or saving just a few pennies at a couple of select stations "down valley".

I overpayed for 10 gal diesel yesterday because I was on fumes rather than drive 25mile r/t to save those few pennies, in the end it was prob cheaper to over pay for fuel.

The burden of gasoline costs on persons also bears on the amount of driving. Average annual miles driven per year is very high in the USA, especially in rural areas because many key product and services are less distributed today, often only in large urban areas. In the USA, people in in our vast Western state rural areas tend to drive most. Ironically, many urban residents here in California drive little because they rarely leave cities despite its world class natural areas. That is often the case for the poor and recent immigrant ethnic groups.

filled up my car (SUV) at Walmart in rural West Virginia today. Regular (87 octane) was $2.859/gallon. Premium (93 octane) was a dollar per gallon higher at $3.859
