Does your bank close between Christmas and New Years?

Bank holidays in US are determined by the Federal Reserve Bank if i recall correctly. Christmas and New Year's Day specifically banks are closed. If those holidays fall on a Saturday banks are usually closed that Friday and if on Sunday the banks close on Monday for the holiday. But you may want to take weather conditions in your area into account. If sufficient staff can't report for work due to closed roads etc...some branches might not be able to open. This is one reason i try to get some cash ahead of any holiday or when very bad weather predicted.

No. I'm sure they were closed yesterday though for Christmas observance. A veterinarian office I drove by yesterday was closed.

I have to go to the bank tomorrow.

Maybe it's where I live. When in need of cash from an ATM there are a lot of 7/11,s that I can use an ATM at with no fee to withdraw money.

There's no specific laws preventing banks from closing for several days in a row. However, according to Investopedia:
" Bank holidays never occur for two consecutive business days because this could cause too large a disruption for everyday transactions and financial flows. "

In my area the credit union closes early (2 p.m.) on New Years Eve eve, closed on New Years Eve and day and again the Monday following. I'm sure they had the same schedule for Christmas. I'm not sure about the banks' schedules.
