Does your pet have a distinct personality?

I'm a cat person. I've had cats most of my life. When you live with animals, they all have definite personalities. Somehow, they stop being a "cat' to being Pete. They are not a pet, they are members of your family. One cat, Mike, I swear was a person in a cat suit. I have so many 'Mike' stories.
Does your pet have a distinct personality?

The smartest dog I had was Noki who was a 84lb husky/shepherd mix. I was his 4th home when he was 8. He was very protective and loving. The 4 Maltese bossed him around. He was so smart that if you tricked him you only were successful once.

Andy is a pretty typical cat. He is a tabby that is sweet and somewhat skittish, but he makes a point of following me around all day and sitting on my lap. He loves our other cat, Bugsy, and is happy to play Second Fiddle for his buddy.

Bugsy is a Bombay/Manx mix. He is Top Cat in our household and will eat Andy's food if given the chance. He is more like a dog than a cat. He is a Social Butterfly and will run to the front door if the doorbell rings. If he doesn't get enough attention he cries and climbs up my legs for attention. He opens cabinets and drawers if he gets bored. He likes snuggling even more than petting and will burrow his nose into the inside of my elbow while he sleeps. We call him a "puppy cat".

Two distinctly different personalities, and it always fascinates me that Andy is willing to be submissive, but their two personalities work and they are best buds.

I’m a cat person too. My current cat Jack is 3.5 years old and i know him even better than any of my previous kitties since i’m retired now and we spend so much time together. He really is like a little toddler boy & he keeps me laughing every single day. Once in awhile he does bad stuff lol but overall he’s an absolute joy.❤️
