Doesn't It Drive You Crazy When....

You cook something with the timer, and it still burns... you hang a picture with care and it's still hung crooked... you get up bright and early and on time for a doctor's appointment, but it's the next week.... the shoes fit perfectly in the store, but slightly bigger when you get em home....what drives you nuts?

What’s been driving me crazy lately is reading recipes online or in magazines. Everything is the same old recipe; they’ve just put a cutsie new name on it.

Saw one for Ping Pong Salad which was just a basic salad with small mozzarella balls. Or every thing is Crazy Crack this and that. (Potatoes,or bacon Or broccoli). Now I see Bang Bang all the time in the recipe name. Bang Bang chicken, Bang Bang shrimp, etc.

Any casserole recipe using ground beef has already been created. Contents the same, only the name has been changed.

And if the recipe has a movie star’s name in the title I just scroll on by. I am skeptical that Taylor Swift has suddenly created a never before seen cookie recipe.

When people are too poor to buy packs of cigarettes, but instead of rolling their own, they'll bum cigarettes. I used to roll about two packs and that cost me $3 saved $13. Now packs are $11+

I could possibly run a black market pack sales near a transit center.....a hustle I could do?!!!

Doesn't it drive you crazy when that gynecologist's ad for deodorant comes on. She just irks the hell out of me. OMG!!! She's probably a nice lady, but I just can't take her ads. The second those ads come on, I have to mute them. Her voice grates me. plus the Ads are gross. I used to work in a mental hospital, and nothing bothered me like she does.
Yes!!! And I find it somewhat offensive.

It occurs to me maybe she wasn't such a great gynecologist if she has to do TV commercials hawking deodorant.

In my life it's the big stuff that bothers me. Small stuff I can handle okay.
Oh, yeah - YouTube interrupting a nice piece of music with commercials SUCKS!

It's bad enuf when you gotta watch commercials before seeing the video, but during it? Really?

The problem is that you don't know if the music, or any video, is worth downloading, so you have to at least watch some of it from the beginning.

My cure for that problem is to use my old 52.9 version of Firefox. It shows NO commercials at any time.

Yes!!!!!! If you're referring to Lume. I hate those.

Living Toronto we get a slew of US networks on our cable TV system. I laugh at the US commercials that tout some new type of medicine, and the voice over narrator spends the last 45 seconds of the 60 second clip reading the HUGE list of "adverse reactions to this medication ". It is as if the cure is worse than the medical condition it is meant to treat. A second one is the injury /accident lawyer commercials promising huge amounts of money if you use their law firm to fight an insurance company. I spent about 20 years working as a Private Investigator here in Ontario, and a large part of our business was the investigation of insurance fraud cases, representing the insurance company. People lie, outrageously about what happened, in order to try to get a windfall of money. JImB.

We don't watch TV at home, but we've seen 'these' ads shipboard and laughed at them every time.........and have made the exact same comments that you have.
