Dogs at the Beach ...Walking on Sunshine

Most excellent! Of course, in Kalifornica dogs are no longer welcome at the beach . . . Grrrrrrr!!!

I love beach dogs and used to enjoy each and every time one would run up to me as I got out of the water . . . "Are you mine? Are you mine??"

My dogs used to love to run on the beaches of the Oregon coast when we were on camping vacations. Lots of sand and funky smells brought into the camper from things they rolled in, but good times and great memories for sure! :coolthumb:

Taking the Gangsta's to the beach in Galveston was the major reason we went there. We had so much fun just playing with them and watching them have fun. While I lived in Oregon, I loved going to the coastal towns, but never really enjoyed the beaches much there..too freakin' cold!

I was hooked on the beach the first time I dipped my toes in that warm gulf water of Galveston...I actually wanted to retire there, but was vetoed. After the last major hurricane, I changed my tune.

My wolf/husky mix, Choppers (RIP), loved the beach but was not a fan of swimming. He liked to run along the edge of the shore break and dance around in the shallow water. Once, a good sized shore pound actually broke over him and he was in the tube! So cool. Wish I had a photo of that moment.
