Dolly Parton turned 75 on Tuesday, but the week has become a somber one for the country music icon. She announced on social media Thursday that her brother Randy, 67, has died of cancer, reports Page Six.

So sorry she lost her brother, especially so close to her birthday. I know how she feels. The day of my milestone 60th birthday, I was sitting at my brother's funeral. May God grant her and her family comfort and my her brother R.I.P.
