Watched a documentary with Bob Costas with Yogi Berra and Don Larson yesterday on the MLB network. They went through the game commenting on various items. This is what Larson said that stunned Costs and I'm sure viewers. He said after the game's final pitch he had no idea he had thrown a "perfect game". Costas was floored. Here is why. There had not been a perfect game since I believe 1922. No one ever talked about it there were only no hitters. So Larson finally learned of the magnitude of this game in the locker room filled with reporters. Here is another amazing fact. Many decades later Yogi and Larson were in Yankee Stadium to honor the perfect game. What happened that day? The Yankee pitcher threw a perfect game! How cool is that?!
