Hello Everyone! I bought a 2004 Breckenridge Trailer model 844SA on a lot in Elkmont RV Resort in Cleveland, Ga in the mountains. I will be finishing my contract here in Zhengzhou, Henan China and will be headed to my RV in Cleveland to retire. Is there any special maintenance that needs to be done on the 2004 Breckenridge that I should know about? I have never owned an RV before. It is permanently located on the lot and has sewer and septic provided that we pay in our POA fee each year.

I have tried to find more information online but nothing for living in an RV with a sewer already hooked up. I was keeping in touch with the former owner but her husband got cancer so she is very busy. I am not able to ask her questions.

What should I plan on for maintenance on the RV?

Thanks for any help you may give me!

Donna R:)

Hi, Donna, Jujube here from Central Florida (winter) and a lot of other places (we travel 4-5 months a year in our fifth wheel).

Here are two websites you can go to for questions:

rvparkreviews.com - go to the Forums tab. Lots of helpful people who love to give advice. Mostly about RV parks but they're not averse to other topics.

rvnetwork.com (the Escapees website). Lots and LOTS of helpful people who really, really love to give advice. Believe me, ask (questions) and ye shall receive (answers).

You'll need to create an account in order to post, but it's free and nobody will bug you.

There's also rvforum.net. I've never used it, so can't say much about it.

Welcome Donna from the central California mountains. I used to subscribed to a monthly magazine called "Trailer Life" (I think that was the name). It was full of great information. How long have you been in China, I'd love to hear more. Did you buy your property sight unseen? I mean do you KNOW it even exists? I hope you went to GA in person or had a trusted friend check it out for you. I know in California a real estate guy was selling homes he didn't have permission to sell. They weren't even for sale. A few people lost their shirts over that but now he's in prison.

Hello and welcome, Donna. I too am anticipating hearing about China. Also, I too am going to experience living in a 2004 camping trailer.....with absolutely no knowledge regarding rv living.
