Don't Get A Mammogram For Two Months After Your Vaccination

I saw my GYN last week. She's excellent (has a 5 star rating from her patients) and is very well respected by her colleagues. I feel comfortable discussing anything with her and love how thorough she is. She addresses total health, not just female issues. She ordered a bone density test to be done at the same time as my mammo and ultrasound which are due at the end of September. When we were wrapping up, she asked if I was vaccinated. When I replied No, she said if/when I get vaccinated I must wait two months to have my mammogram. It's unlike me not to, but I didn't ask why. I think it was because I was very hungry, didn't know how long I'd have to wait for an Uber and just wanted to get out of there.

Have you ladies gotten or heard of similar advice?

My wife got similar advice from her doctor. Apparently, the vaccines can cause an "expansion" of some lymph nodes which might show up as Cancer during a mammogram. We got our shots back in Feb/March, and my wife is delaying her annual checkups until sometime in October.
