What Is an Internet Troll? (and How to Handle Trolls) - How-To Geek

An internet troll is someone who makes intentionally inflammatory, rude, or upsetting statements online to elicit strong emotional responses in people or to steer the conversation off-topic. They can come in many forms. Most trolls do this for their own amusement, but other forms of trolling are done to push a specific agenda

I am guilty of pushing specific agenda like don't trust the government, statistics show government agencies are corrupt. This is fact and was posted as a reminder of the history we were part of.

Just for the record I don't consider you a troll, maybe an over-thinker but as they say "it takes one to know one". ;)

Lol, have you heard the saying that "statistics lie". That said, any grouping of people together for a task or purpose is bound to have some corruption, because people are corrupt!

I was going to write a final post in another group, complimenting all members for handling the sensitive subject of religion with tact and understanding. I wouldn't have believed, before I joined this forum, that a true conversation was possible between believer and atheist. There were disagreements but no personal attacks by trolls or those of a hot temper! (y):)
I am happy to be a member of this Forum.

There's been a disturbing trend in the online world, @Mr. Ed ... seems that when someone has a differing opinion, the name-calling and labeling rears its head. Say something not agreed with and the word "troll" starts floating around. Or bigot. Or cyberbully. The list goes on and on depending on the topic and/or who the name-caller is. Never saw anything that would have made me think of you as a troll... so carry on. (y)

You are definitely not a troll and you provoke discussions and thoughts about different topics. That’s what forums are for. Personally I like you and you bring value to the discussion.
