This is the remains of Slains castle - or rather a modern grand house inspired by the original castle.
There is a deal of debate and jealousy as to the inspiration for Dracula's castle in the book. Although the story was set in Whitby, Yorkshire, it is known that Bram Stoker was a guest at Slains castle and wrote at least some of the book while staying in the nearby Aberdeenshire village of Cruden Bay. The castle stands on top of sheer cliffs to the rear.
