Dreams...

I have discovered that if I go to sleep while the tv is on whatever is on tv creeps into my dreams. Last night was bad because it was the weekend and the regular nighttime shows I usually drift off to weren't on. I changed the channel to forensic files because I was bored & then I fell asleep. Big mistake. My dream was full of serial killers & murder. I woke up & realized it was because of what was on tv. Does what's on tv ever creep into your dreams?

Also.. sometimes I have dreams that are very clear about future events that happen. It's usually never about anything that seems to really matter to me , so I don't know why I dream about it. I also don't know how/why this happens. Example.. in 3rd grade for my birthday what I really wanted was a baby turtle. I dreamed I was getting a white bike with a pink S on it for my birthday. For my birthday I got a white girls schwinn bike with a pink seat and it did have a pink S on it. I also got a baby turtle from my friend, but I didn't dream about that. I've had dreams about future weddings that happened and the bride was exactly who I saw in my dream...but these weddings are never about people I really care about so I don't know why I dream it.

I have a lot of vivid dreams, in great detail and color, which is great in a nice dream, but frightening in a nightmare, luckily I don't have many of them. Maybe if I take a Melatonin for sleep sometimes.

I'm like you, my hubby used to like to watch horror movies and I always went to sleep earlier due to my work shift. But I didn't mind that he was in bed watching his movies or whatever. But sometimes I'd just open my eyes and glance at something gross or scary and sure enough, it would work its way into my dream. I had one dream as a kid that kinda told the future, three times in a row. I was very sick in a bed with friends and family visiting me with gifts, one day a drunk driver nodded off at the wheel, came up on the sidewalk and clipped me enough to spend time in the hospital. When people starting coming during visiting hours, I related it to the dream.

That's really interesting that you had the dream 3 times. I'm glad you are ok now after having been hit. I've only had one repetitive dream for years and years, but I think it's because driving around the airport scares me. In that dream I can't get out of the airport & I just keep driving in circles unable to get out.

LOL, Blunder! There's a street (or used to be, I haven't been there in 40 years) that circles the Eiffel Tower. Woe to anybody who's a novice driver in Paris who gets on it and tries to get off. Only sensible thing to do is to just keep driving until the (rental) car runs out of gas, then get the heck out and run!

Remember the Kingston Trio on the MTA riding around forever because they couldn't get off?

I don't know if i sleep enough to dream.
Family members are very much into deciphering dreams and I have forbidden them to call me and tell me about it because its either about 'ii saw you holding a baby boy and you will go through some bad shit ..' And I have to be warned. Ugh

The most vivid dream I have had was after my cousin passed away,I saw him in my dream telling me not to cry anymore,he is ok.

Yes, when I fall asleep with the TV on, whatever is on often becomes part of my dream. Only this morning, I fell back to sleep after putting on a program about castles in Scotland. In my dream was a brick building and I couldn't understand why the narrator was referring to this boring, plain brick building as though it was some kind of castle!

Certain medicines such as Beta Blockers can cause weird and vivid dreams. Doctors don't always explain these side effects, but this is a well documented problem with some medicines. I only found this out by accident, but my then GP wasn't keen to change my BP medication. Another GP explained the problem to me and changed my prescription. A lot better now.

I'm cursed...I like to sleep darkness and quiet. Hubby can only really sleep with the TV on. He comes home from work at between 1am to 5am...and yep I wake to cartoon voices screeching. The compromise would be me sleeping elsewhere but we don't have enough rooms. The dreams with hot flashes.
There is a class or job I need to get to but where is it?
My girls have come and taken all my clothes and belongings and I have to get somewhere.
Fires and explosions.
The worst is the dogs are missing and people are offering me others, but I want mine.
