Drive through Tree Topples

A popular tourist attraction dubbed the Pioneer Cabin tree has been destroyed as violent storms tear through the US west coast. Thousands of people have had to be evacuated in California and Nevada.

Maybe there's still hope to drive through something. I remember our family driving through a redwood in the 50's. Don't know which one it was, though. Probably gone now. Seems a little silly now.

Sad! Saw that on the news last night. Sadder! Deteriorating vision had me seeing the thread title "Drive through Tree
Topless". Was sorta disappointed the tree pics weren't what I expected. :>)

I forget which tree was which, but do remember driving through one. Sad, but not unexpected.

An old gutted tall tree can't be expected to fare well in high winds especially.

Who gets the wood-nature or loggers?

I drove through that tree in 1958 in my 48 Plymouth. When I went back many years later they no longer allowed you to drive through it.

That's too bad. I never knew it existed, how cool. Hard to imagine how huge those trees are!

The first time I saw those trees they made me feel like I was 2 feet tall.
