She was later found guilty of Vehicular Homicide by DUI and was handed a 14-year sentence one month before she was to graduate from college. I am hoping that this video makes all of us aware of how we would look if we were caught in a situation like this. I hope that you can view it properly.

So sad that she couldn't comprehend what she was being told by the officer that she had just killed two people. And no, your not getting your car back & no your not going to school today. Not a good look on body cam about how your excited on your upcoming trip to party in Vegas.

I would not have wanted to be her attorney after viewing that tape. Do you know if it went to trial or did she take a plea?

14 years? The drunken young woman who ran down and killed my sister in a crosswalk only got 39 months. And a portion of those were served on house arrest until the prisons started accepting new inmates again (because of Covid).

Yeah, she wasn't sorry, either. And, yeah, I'm bitter and unforgiving toward drunk drivers.

A guy at work ran down a young woman, when he was drunk. He was an alcoholic, but he wasn't a "bad" guy. He was a small scrawny dude, not much muscle. I didn't think he would last long in prison. As a student nurse, I had to attend an AA meeting. There were several, like my work acquaintance, who killed people while drunk. When these people tell their horror stories, it's amazing how many DUIs they racked up, before finally running someone down.

Not anymore special than my dad who drove without a license and always had a bottle of some kind of alcohol in the car. When we went with him somewhere, he would have us kids open it and hand it to him as he drove. Those were supposedly the good old days.

Probably if he got wasted enough thankfully he seemed to know better than to get stupid drunk while driving. But still, it could have easily happened.
