Dumb question about using a CD in windows 10

How do you open the CD compartment? I never opened it and used a CD.
No buttons to push. Nothing except a half inch rectangular hole and another rectangular
slot about one and half inches long on side of laptop near CD compartment. Looked it up on the web.
I have a new Dell.
 

I have an HP and you just put the CD into the slot and it continues to suck it in, when done, it kicks it out.

Edit, didn't know you meant a laptop.

I have bad news for you. The new Dell does not come with a CD player. I have the same laptop. Solution?? Very simple: go to eBay and buy an external CD drive for about $20 and plug it into the USB port, That was what I did. I had the CD drive left over from another project.
On eBay search for "external cd player"
