Dupuytrens's Contracture

Over the past few years, my hands have developed a bit of Dupuytrens Contracture.....a condition which affects the tendons in the hands, and causes the fingers to curl inwards. This appears to be fairly common for older males of European ancestry, and I have a couple of fingers on each hand which are unable to straighten out. I still have good grip, and can perform most functions....but I have to be careful when rinsing my face, so I don't poke myself in the eye.

There seems to be basically 3 treatments....Needling, Xiaflex injections, and Surgery. I am strongly considering having this condition treated this coming year, and I am looking for others who have had this condition, and which method they underwent, and the results. I put more trust in the experiences and opinions of others than I do in any of these "ask your doctor" commercials, etc. Soooo, if anyone here has had to deal with this condition, I am "all ears".
