I also want to be cremated. If they bury you, no sooner than you get comfy, they are going to pave over you, and you will be a McDonald's parking lot. So what to do with you? How can I put this. -once your dead, not a lot bothers you.

Page not found but I can attest to the rising costs. This is why I paid for my plot, including opening and closing fees in advance. We Muslims aren't supposed to get all fancy..just a pine box so that should help keep funeral costs down. My funeral expenses will be paid by one of my insurances. For those who don't have to be buried the next day, casket wholesalers or even Costco.com can provide less expensive caskets and urns.

Donating your body to Science is a great option. . I'm signed up locally, and so was my husband.
Getting cremated ashes back is the only cost, plus cost for death certificates.

It's possible that since people are living longer there's less mortuary business. I would imagine it would still be cheaper than being kept alive. The cost for all that far outweighs hangin around.
