E-reading before going to bed could disturb your sleep!

According to research it seems that this activity effects your brain so it is better to stick to hardcovers at night. Methinks it may be more what you are reading that could cause a problem so no more "good" stuff for me... :eek:nthego:

Probably the light from the screen affects the melatonin in your system or something. My computer is set up so that in the evening the light turns kind of yellow which is supposed to change the effect it has on your 'sleep system'.

Yes, the report says that it is the melatonin that is impacted, so you can go to the head of the class, just don't fall asleep there, though...:D

Debby, my recognition of your brilliance and the forum being made aware of this should be prize enough. However, I am submitting your name to several organizations for special recognition...

I cannot see how reading a book on my tablet's e-reader app can affect my sleep while watching a film, or playing Patience (Solitaire) does not.
