I worked with many Asians in the lab and one of them once told me that if you had large ear lobes, you would be rich.

At least there is a cultural reason for this. I have no idea what it is is, but there is one. The other is just for style.I don't get it either.
It looks equally as ridiculous to me as this...
While I do understand certain tribes have certain ways, I still see it as being macabre, just as I do the ear thing today.
I view all of it as mutilation.

I remember the neck rings. These people can never have them removed. Their neck muscles are so atrophied, they can no longer hold up their heads and would suffocate.
