Earth Day/ Arbor Day

In the U.S., both these environmentally friendly observances fall in the latter part of April (Earth Day on April 22nd and Arbor Day is the last Friday in April).

Does anyone really give these two days a thought? It would be nice if everyone stopped using plastic for one day and then went out to plant a tree! Trouble is the vast majority gives a nod of acknowledgment to these two dates and then continues on in their self-destructive ways! Poor Earth!

ref the plastic bottle madness....I bought 4 drink bottles, metal,
and refill them to use all day....don't miss the plastic bottles

That's what I am doing as well. I have a two litre bottle I keep refilling with tap water!

When you buy bottled water, you're just buying someone else's tap water.

I don't think either get much more than lip service anymore. Their embrace by the environmental community seems to work in a counter-productive manner with the everyday citizen. Strange how that is.
