Educational TV Channels programming had changed

Networks like the History Channel and NatGeo have changed the slant of their programming away from educational more to sensational. They should change the History Channel to "Redneck Entertainment" and NatGeo to "The Crime & Drug Chanel". Very few and far between are shows like they used to have.

Yup, these TV channels are striving for more viewership, and their programming reflects the public's taste in viewing....for better or worse. The History Channel seems to be aiming itself more at a Male audience with shows such as Counting Cars, and Forged in Fire....both of which would probably be of little interest to most women. That channel Does have what is probably the best series presented on TV in recent years...The Vikings...IMO....and I am looking forward to its new season.
If you like History, they presented a new show, last night, concerned with the assassination of JFK, and Oswald's potential ties to Russia and Cuba...some real food for thought, there.
