So we left on Saturday and returned today. I have passed through Palm Springs on business trips but have never stayed there. My partner has never been there.

We met a wonderful couple on a Vietnam/Thailand cruise in 2019. They invited us to their home in Palm Springs. We first had to cancel due to Covid, then due to my mother's illness late last year. We finally made it there. What a great city, and the weather was perfect. They wore us out between walking in the city and hiking in the mountains.

Our friends are in their 50's, retired and have a Mid-Century Modern home that has a view of the mountains. (We can only dream.) Yesterday we took a tram to the top of one of the mountains. The pic is fuzzy but my partner and I are the two in the middle.

It was just so great to get away from everyday life. Also, my partner connected with his cousin. They grew up together as kids and haven't seen each other in over 20 years. His cousin lives in Palm Springs. They actually called his cousin's mother together and she was beyond surprised!

Just such a great, relaxing trip but always happy to return to Dallas. I know I will be up late tonight because I am on West Coast time!

Sounds like a very nice time. You were right, your husband is handsome!

When my wife and I visited naturist resorts, we spent a long weekend at Desert Sun Resort in Palm Springs. We enjoyed walking through the downtown area and the sidewalk cafes and bistros.

I heard it's so hot in Palm Springs, drivers are frequently treated in the ER for severe sunburn of the middle finger.

I enjoy all of your posts, especially those about travel. I've never been to Palm Springs so it was nice to read about it. Thanks for sharing!

Nice to hear you had a nice trip away from home and enjoyed it!:giggle:That's a very nice photo, too. I'm getting a bit envious of all these trips your taking. God only knows when my last vacation was...no big deal though because I don't have to go out to a job anyways.
