Grim update.

80% of covid patients in NYC on ventilators eventually pass. Some doctors also feel they are being over used and there are similar statistics from around the globe on ventilator use and fatalities. Some doctors are trying to lessen their use and admit they can damage the lungs.

There's been some developments using sleep apnea devices/machines and some anesthesia equipment which tend to be less invasive.

Also read I think was in Germany and Italy where they had some success with lower ventilator pressures. But I've always heard those successfully coming off a ventilator is not that high with other conditions especially as time goes on.
