I hae suffered with Benign essential tremor, it came out of the blue to me in my 50's, but fortunately it has gone now almost completely probably because my stress level has lessened in the last few years.... However Essential Tremor is often mistaken for Parkinsons' disease by patients and Laymen...

I know our friend @Elsie has suffered with ET all her life with no respite...

This is a Video to show those who aren't aware of the difference...

This is a very interesting video from DR Eric Berg... about Essential Tremors.. and potentially how to stop it....

Thankyou for your tremor info posts, hollydolly. :) Compared to how bad my full body tremors are, that woman looks almost steady. I've been trying just about every suggestion for lessening my shaking, but no luck so far, but I'll keep on working at it. Recently, I started on a low carb diet. At 89, success is hard to achieve no matter what I try. But I'd be grateful for even a little help. I DON"T want to end up in a dependant living facility/home.

I understand Elsie... it's very distressing for you....did you look at DR bergs' video... it's very interesting... only 5 minutes long..but he explains how Vit B2 and Q10 can work against the tremors...

Yes, I looked at it. I'll be checking with Essential Tremor forum members who have, or are following his advice for success on it or none--etc. Some of those foods he mentions aggravate some E Ters E T into shaking worse. So strange how what helps one, doesn't help another.

yes it's the same with all illnesses isn't it... Doctors tend to suggest the medications ..or the supplements in this case, that seem to work for the most people... ..anyway everything is worth a try isn't it ?
