Ever hear the word Vilomah?

I'm not trying to be morbid with this subject. Twenty-five years ago we lost our youngest child at the age of seventeen in an auto accident. I never wanted one of those decals on my car window memorializing a lost love one. One day I read an article that a college professor at Duke University doing some research in language arts found that their was a generally used term referring to parents who had lost a child.

What she did find was a term in the ancient language of Sanskrit ( विलोप ), that is defined as 'against the natural order'. I had a decal of that word, 'Valomah' made and placed it on my the back window of my truck. It says what I want it to say, but is not generally understood by others. That's fine with me. There is even a Vilomah organization, but I'm not a joiner so it's not for me. This has brought some comfort to me, maybe it will do likewise for someone else.

Other parents who recognize it and understand will truly understand. That would bring comfort, I would think.

I'm so sorry you have suffered what must be the most devastating loss anyone can endure, @Rider77.
