Everything to do with Rainbows 🌈

Several years ago, we visited the Dwan Light Sanctuary at Armand Hammer's New World College near Las Vegas, New Mexico. (Yes, New Mexico.....it was there long before the Nevada upstart...)

It's a round unadorned white building with prisms set in the walls. You go in, find a place to settle down and "open yourself" to the multitude of rainbows caused by the sun coming through the prisms.

I'm not particularly a "woo-woo" type, but I'll have to admit it was very restful.

According to the UK Meteorological Website, in order to be able to see a full-circle rainbow you need to have water droplets below your observable horizon, and perhaps the sun in the right position.

I suppose if you are on a mountain or a building looking down through water droplets in the air below you, you might see a full-circle rainbow.

Or even if you look out of or jump out of a plane. Circle rainbow is seen at about 40 seconds into the video:

Here (downsized for web) is a type of mist rainbow photo, one won't find elsewhere. Tripod mounted shot with my Sony A6000 and SEL55210 zoom lens on May 19, 2017, a high snow pack year so peak flows on a breezy afternoon. 620 foot overhanging vertical drop Bridalveil Fall from the popular Tunnel View parking pull-out in Yosemite Valley. I waited till the last rainbow color purple, began showing at frame lower left to capture all the colors. Full image size 4000x6000 pixels with a crop below.

The Rainbows Bridge Poem

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Thank you for this Marie. I firmly believe we meet all our loved ones when we die including our beloved pets so rainbow 🌈 bridge is very real for me.
