Everything You Need To Know About Hoarding Disorder

The only area in my home I have what could be considered clutter is my sewing room
I have 2 of those big clear storage containers that have fabrics / elastic / lining I’ve used for making masks for family and friends since the pandemic stated as well as about a plastic shopping bag of crafty type of fabric due to having a embroidery sewing machine for hobby type projects.
I like clear walkways (dont like coffee tables in the middle of a room ) as well as uncluttered cupboards and drawers especially in-the kitchen, soon after we got married hubbies mother gave us heaps of kitchen drawer clutter it quickly got binned I like to control what in my drawers not have it full of unused clutter. If I want a plate or something out of my kitchen under bench cupboards I can reach in without looking and pick up a plate ect I want cause they all have a place
 

Admittedly I have too much stuff. I actually edit what I buy much more at thrift stores than I did years ago. I got a space at one of those antique malls over 15 years ago. I expected to have it maybe 3 months (the man running the place was nice and didn't have a minimum length of time) I ended up staying only a month. Mostly other dealers bought my stuff and I made over 1000 dollars.

After that I didn't thrift for a long time. I really do try to stick to things I really love like cats, deer, ducks. And utilitarian items although I have more than enough coffee mugs. Maybe I should be easier on deb.

Hoarders makes me want to pull my hair out. They do have a mental condition.
 
@RadishRose That is seriously how their brains must work when they look at all that garbage they have. I feel so bad for the families and the professionals trying to help. I have less empathy for the actual hoarder sadly. Probably because I see how their behavior causes stress and havoc for so many others.

Here are the main items I’m always stocked up on:

  • Wash cloths, bath towels, kitchen towels.
  • Spices
  • Candles
  • Comfy clothes
  • Kitchen stuff
