A 4-pound Yorkshire Terrier had to be euthanized after sustaining serious injuries when a package being delivered fell on the animal.
“We’ve just had a horrible weekend,” Keiko Napier, one of the animal’s owners, said.

That is terrible. I've seen how those delivery people throw packages no wonder the poor thing was killed.

OMG! I've noticed that FEDEX delivevers are very sloppy and deliver packages in a very off-hand way because they don't want to be bothered. I blame the FEDEX company. I would sue for all it's worth!!! How horrible. But pets in the legal system are just property. I blame the legal system, too!

I have had to make FEDEX sign for their deliveries for my dad's medication that have to be kept cold, because otherwise they don't come in and at least ring the door bell, Many times they leave the box on top of one of trash carts at any times of the day. If I hadn't happen to look they would be there for hours, even if it says right on the package it has to be immediately refrigerated!

Wow! We rarely get a delivery from FedEx but the USPS, Amazon, and UPS people have, as far as I know, always just put the package on the porch, sometimes under the doormat. No throwing involved as far as I can tell.
