Extra Charge on Credit Card from Walmart

Bought a few items for home delivery this last week from Walmart. Order was $35+ to take advantage of the free shipping. The credit card was charged an extra $4+. What gives couldn't find any notation or reason. Wife suggested a tariff charge maybe? Some items were made in China.

I get deliveries from Walmart all the time… and get billed cost of items + delivery driver tip.

They give you a choice of amt. you want to give the driver from 5% to 20% or more.
You can choose to give nothing to the driver, but good luck with future deliveries.
Good to know thanks, that never crossed my mind will watch subsequent orders, if any. Now it makes sense.

I would contact Walmart and ask. My preference is to tip cash.

It’s on their website clearly laid out when you place a food delivery. It’s your choice.
I never saw a benefit to giving cash, because they receive what you want them to get. You can change the delivery tip amt. after they leave your order too.

Second, when they leave your order at the door, and take off, you could miss them…. If something is wrong with your order, Walmart is quick to fix the problem … never had an issue with that. They will replace or refund or whatever you want done.

There is an added service (I think) where they will bring groceries inside for you and put them away .... I don’t do that.

Sometimes I see 3 charges. If you make updates to your order or if they have to charge you more for substitutes it will show up as an extra charge. Once it processes it will equal what it showed you paid.
