Fast Doctors Visit

Wow yesterday I had a Doctor's appointment and I
always get there early in case they are quiet and I get
called early, she saw me 15 minutes before the time,
usually it is 30 minutes after and the waiting room was
empty.

The Corona Virus is making people afraid to go to see the
Doctor in case there is somebody infected waiting there.

Every cloud has a silver lining, but I never thought that an
illness would help to keep the Doctor's Surgery empty.

I wonder if this is universal?

My doctor's clinic has a sign which tells people not to enter if they have been to China or in contact with anyone who has traveled there. They ask instead that you make tracks for the hospital and to let them know ahead you are coming.

Probably some might ignore the sign which is scary.

The office is also giving out masks to anyone who is experiencing any type of cough or flu symptoms.

I was in hospital the other day for a day surgery..when we arrived the reception area was busier than I've ever seen it.... , so clearly the scare of the coronavirus isn't keeping people away from this private hospital . There was a small sign on the reception desk asking that we inform them if we'd just returned from a list of places in China, but other than that, nothing !!

The problem with a private hospital Hllydolly I suspect
is that they will still charge even if you don't turn up,
also they are smaller than NHS onesand look busier.

I take my brother to one taht it is always busy, in waves,
they have it worked out and the small waiting room for
everything is 3/4 full costantly.

Yes overall the private hospitals are smaller than NHS , however this particualr one that I go to, has a very large waiting area... leather seats (not hard back chairs)... the latter is an irony because in an NHS hosptial waiting room we can wait hours to be seen and hard back chairs are killers on painful backs... whereas the soft leather of the private hospital is only enjoyed for a few minutes because we're rarely if ever kept waiting longer than a few minutes
