Favourite things

One of my favourite things to do on a warm late April day is to go out and pick
a small bouquet of Mayflowers.
I take scissors to cut the stems so as not to pull out the roots. I want there to be some
blooming in the same place next spring.

I also like to walk along a river bank in autumn and see the colourful leaves drifting down
to the water and floating by. For me being outside and viewing nature is very calming and peaceful.

Tell us a couple of your favourite things and if you think of more later come back and let us know.

Raven, I love books! I walked into my first library at seven years old. I remember how proud I was when I got my first library card. I always had a book to read, no matter where I was. I would carry one everywhere, and I still do. When my father pulled me from school in the fifth grade, those books became my lifeline to an education. I took my even my morals from the books I read. Without those books, there is no telling how I would have turned out. :hatoff:

I'm with you Ina, I love books too. On a rainy day I like to curl up with a good book.
I got my first hard cover book for Christmas when I was ten years old and have been reading
ever since.

Guess Im the oddball here,I could never just sit for hours and read a book.
Im more of a take off the shoes and walk near the waters edge lapped by the Atlantic ocean.

Davey, I found an old flat bottomed skiff tied to a tree when I was around eight, and I would lay in that boat and read and float, and dream about all the things I read about.

Raven, I grew up growing veggies with flowers all mixed together. I too love nature.

My most favorite thing is being out in nature also, listening to the breeze make its way through autumn leaves, or songbirds chirping in springtime. I love quiet walks through the woods, around streams, rivers or lakes, also a quiet beach on the ocean. I like looking at birds and wildlife through binoculars, and taking some photos when I can. To be in a peaceful wooded area at night, far away from other people or city lights, and watch the stars up above is heavenly.

Another one here who likes to curl up with a good book. Always got several waiting to be read.

My wife and I have always lived near the sea and we both love watching the waves on a really rough day. There's something awe inspiring in the power that the waves carry.

Taken at my local port of Fraserburgh. It also holds the UK record for highest wind speed at sea level of 142 mph.

Thank you Capt. For a new beautiful new wallpaper for my Ipad. I love nature walks also though its
getting hard to walk too far due to medical reasons. So I still can sit and watch the beautiful ocean in all it's glory.
i also enjoy reading mysteries.

I love the pictures Capt Lightening, especially this one.

I've never lived near the sea, more of a desert rascal, I guess, although people who live near our oceans produce some awe inspiring photos. Makes one yearn for a visit.

Beautiful and amazing That Guy! How do you get a picture like that?

Yes, it is beautiful and amazing and my favorite place to be. Sorry, I'm not responsible for the photo but it's done by just stickin' a camera on the board or yer head. EZ.

Some amazing photos here.

Just sitting relaxing with my dog by my side.Would be nice by the water, listening to the waves come to shore.

I love sitting outside in the lounge chair and watch ants scurry about. I know..that sounds weird, but they are very soothing as they bebop around doing their thang. I also love listening to the birds, watching the bees and butterflies. My dog and I sit in the swing and just listen to the sounds of nature.

I also got a bunch of new games on Google Chrome, so I have been playing them and enjoying learning them. :)

I love floating in warm water.....like the Gulf of Mexico in July or even the pool. I like the feel of warm sand on my feet and the smell of the salt water. I love fresh fruit, especially watermelon. I love watching my dog play at the dog park. I love taking pictures, reading, listening to songs and books on my iPod. I love listening to interesting people and I love talking with people who are spiritual and value diversity.
