Female Russian Soldiers WW 2

Over 800,000 Russian women served not only in the medical field but as pilots, machine gunners, infantry, tanks, armor, every thing.

I posted this because of recent decisions by various U.S military units to allow females for combat positions.

Interesting that what I posted earlier today was about my daughter and a crew of other female's all working in Iraq. So the introduction of women into the US active military actions is not just now knew to us. Just more willingness to admit what has actually been happening I suppose. There were many in her group and I have a photo of some of them in Iraq. If I knew how to do it I would post their picture on the forum.

I was referring to the recent decision to open up the dangerous combat positions.

These ladies I am talking about were flying around in helicopters and helping to catch and bring in whomever they were sent to get. They were flying both day and night, were armed, did their job. I don't know if any were actually killed or not. No they were not on infantry assaults running up hills and so forth. But they were with weapons and working to bring in persons.

I will try to post a picture of some of them, with there weapons, in Iraq shortly after the take over happened. The first few months there were somewhat peaceful and my daughter bought a rug and sent it to us. She also helped capture a young dog that was hanging around her shelter. She had it taken care of by an army vet and allowed it to stay in her shelter. She then found out how to get it sent to the states, with permission, and still has it with her today. Not long after she got sent back to the states things really turn south for all in Iraq. Today I don't think anyone is safe in Iraq and mostly due to Iran's activities.
