Fictional fact: what are your desired life conditions prior to birth

What’s the point of this question. I can’t change the circumstances of my birth. What I could, and did do is make sure my daughter had the best start possible. Two parents, financial security, exposure to educational experiences were what we could offer. And without much “spoilage”. We spoiled our daughter with love, not with things.
Ditto my grandkids.

The thought occurred to me prior to birth in Stork-vill, fetuses can custom order the parents and conditions by which their life will unfold. I imagine this from the discontent and inability to reverse harm done to me by my parents, particularly my father.

Unborn babies can pick and choose the life they want without the disappointment of bad parents. Crazy idea and an impossible tasks but imagine unborn babies with the authority to decide for them themselves. Chances are humans at any age are bound to screw up.

It's always a sadness when people get lousy, abusive and neglectful parents. Parents that beat, maim, rape, sell and starve their children.

But at some point, at least the lesser of the abused might, by the time they're grandparents themselves, have learned to grow up, seek help or help themselves.
