Fifty Years Ago This Week

The Woodstock music festival was getting underway. It was about 140 miles from where I lived then.

Fifty years ago this week, I was on my way to Turkey to join the husband I hardly knew and whom I had married, pretty much on a whim, 3 1/2 months before. It worked out, though. for 37 years.

I was only 15 and I remember my cousin went to Woodstock, and my aunt & uncle were sort of OK, until they saw news reports afterward.
