Finally Decided on the Apartment

I was still mulling over wheater to move or not and finally decided last night. Yesterday I called the new place and talked with the manager about a few small questions I had...while we spoke I caught her in 3 distinct lies from what she had told me earlier in the week.
1. There are children and families living there. I had asked her about that and she said there were no kids.
2. That if I didn't like the 3rd floor, when anothe became available on the 1st or 2nd floors it would be offered to me first. This is not true.
3. That food delivery cannot go to the 3rd floor---I would have to go to the first floor entrance and get it from the delivery person.

I found all this out by calling their corporate and having a nice discussion with this manager's manager. I also found out a few more little things about the place I didn't like.

I still have not heard from my manager here and mostly like won't. I figured it is better to let the new one go as there are too many day to day things I do not like.

I will keep nagging the crap out of this place while continuing to seek other places. In this business I absoutely do not trust anyone.

All the advice from you folks here made me think things over and I deciced that a bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush.

Always good to do research and more research and even more research! I lived on the 6th floor in Milwaukee, WI and it was TERRIBLE trying to get food delivery!

So glad you got enough info to make an informed choice - always makes us feel better. Good luck finding the right place! and hopefully getting some response from your current manager.
