Huh? There is a flaw in your logic construct, as above:

If you die second, in a relationship where you have a life partner, that necessarily means your life partner predeceased you, ergo you are, in fact, forced to make it without her/him.

So, to resolve the above, you DO want to die first, eliminating the situation where you are living without your life partner.

If I'm missing something, here, please enlighten me. Thanks!
 

All of the above. Plus I don't want to ever be the cranky old lady who yells at kids for being on her lawn or whines about neighbors having loud parties late at night despite having no plans the following morning and can therefore sleep as long as I'd like.

Let me correct that statement. I hope I AM the first to go, selfish I know, but my kids will take very good care of my wife..Better?
