A novel that tells the story of a man who is severely burned in a car accident and is befriended by a lady who tells him she has known him for hundreds of years.
The man's burns play a large part in the novel and as such here are just a few medical terms regarding the treatment of severe burns sprinkled throughout the novel.

Escharotomy - an emergency surgical procedure involving incising through areas of burnt skin to release the tightness as the skin grows on the periphery

Jejunostomy - Jejunal feeding is the method of feeding directly into the small bowel. The feeding tube is passed into the stomach, through the pylorus and into the small bowel.

Pulmonary Toilet - Techniques used to clear mucus and secretions from the airways.

Penectomy - A surgical procedure that removes part of or all of the *****

Quote from the book in a one star review on Amazon:
"A cheese strand dangled from her mouth to the edge of her left nipple, and I wanted to rappel it like a mozzarella commando to storm her lovely breasts."

No, I wouldn't read the book, but not because I'm shy or prudish (which I'm not), but there is not only this but also some other examples of such badly written parts.

And why a penectomy? Is the narrator in the book without a name so badly injured that he had to get one?
Especially such a topic is in my opinion rather belonging to fetish websites on the internet than to a novel.
