Five(!) years to reconstruct a bridge on the motorway from Austria to Italy!

Europe has hit rock bottom. The main route by car from Austria to Italy is the "Brenner motorway" (A 13). There is the "Europa Bridge". This bridge was inaugurated in November 1963 and must be reconstructed now. It is still in Austria only some miles north of the border to Italy.

Austria needs 5 years to build a new bridge. During this time only one lane in every direction is open. This will cause gigantic traffic jams, especially from spring to fall on the weekends.

My sugestion: Let China build the bridge. They'd need a maximum of 6 months (or even much less) to do this work.

yep the only problem with allowing the chinese to do it...is that you'll feel like having another bridge 6 months later...:ROFLMAO:

A bridge plan delayed a highway construction project in New Jersey for almost 10 years.

The six lane highway linking two others had to go through the middle of a forest. Bear with me on this please deer.

Environmentalists and wildlife activists demanded an overpass, a bridge to allow wildlife, bears, deer etc. to get from one side of the forest to the other.

After years of debate the overpass bridge finally constructed isn’t for vehicles or pedestrians, just for wildlife. It’s compete with trees and bushes planted upon it as if it’s part of the forest.

The wildlife are using it. No toll even though the deer have a couple of bucks.
