Flash mob robberies

What will be the next crime wave in America? Over the weekend it’s been reported of mobs of people robbing stores in California as so called “flash robs”. Large groups of people descend upon a store or stores, in some cases and proceed to plunder and pillage what they will. It started in California but how long do you think it will take to catch on in other areas of the country?

Also, do you have any ideas as to how such things can be prevented? I understand the need to present and keep us updated with “the news” is important but sometimes it seems as if the news spreads ideas that most people might never have considered in the first place. I guess that only time will tell if more mobs take up the practice and how far and fast it will spread. Is the saying, “As goes America, so goes the world” still valid? If so, heaven help us all!

There is open talk about Organized Crime on Instagram, and probably many other popular sites .... isn't anyone paying attention?

There is a nice big shopping center near where we used to live, and we often shopped there. Even after moving to the boondocks, we used to visit that center when we went to the casinos in the city. However, starting 4 or 5 years ago, that place started having issues with gangs gathering there, and engaging in fights and robberies. The last few times we drove by there, it seemed that half the stores had closed, and the parking lot was virtually empty.

If this kind of stupidity becomes more commonplace, "traditional retail" is going to suffer, badly.

I don't know, but I would point out that California is not the rest of America. They've passed some laws/regulations that make it easier for crooks. Very sad.
